As an online marketer I believe it’s wise NOT to put all of your eggs in one basket.
I personally am building out income streams in three different business models…
- the Affiliate Marketing Business Model
- the Info Product Marketing Business Model
- the Network Marketing Business Model
Also, at this time, I have chosen to ONLY market digitally based products.
Let’s quickly look at these three business models.
Affiliate Marketing is basically recommending and promoting products that other people have created… they do all the heavy lifting like product creation, building out sales pages and websites, product support… you get the idea.
All you do is promote their products, usually by building an email list to share your recommendations.
Info Product Marketing is where you take it one step further by taking over the product creation duties yourself… you still do all of the previously mentioned promotional activities. You can also recruit affiliates to share your products and pay them comissions for their efforts.
Network Marketing again takes it a step further than the affiliate marketing model. In this case, you still are promoting products and services that the company you are affiliated with have developed for you to market.
You, on the other hand, build a marketing team who in turn are also building their own marketing team. Every team member has the same two responsibilities… selling products AND building a team… BOTH!
The company, on the other hand, has the responsibility of producing and delivering the products. Most network marketing companies build their business around physical products… things like nutritional supplements, weight loss and beauty products.
But not all…
My primary business in the network marketing business model is totally digital, selling membership packages that help people save money on the things they are already spending money on.
There is also one more factor to consider… choosing which products and/or services to market is one of the most important tasks faced by new online marketers.
With so many different product niches out there, choosing one which you think will be the most profitable can often be a very confusing and daunting task.
